| Abstract | ||
| The principle of foreign policy is influenced by several factors, one of the most important of which is natural resources, especially energy. Saudi Arabia's oil and gas reserves play a pivotal role in the country's economic and domestic policies. In this regard, energy is explained as a key model in Saudi diplomacy. As a member of OPEC, the country has a high influence on global oil prices, and the organization's decisions during times of global crises can help strengthen Saudi Arabia's political position. Whenever oil prices have fallen, Saudi Arabia has helped stabilize the oil market by reducing production and, in turn, has increased its influence in the international arena. Now, considering the above, the main question of this research can be considered: How does energy affect the power of Saudi Arabia's foreign policy? The research method of this article is qualitative and has a descriptive-analytical approach. The research hypothesis is that Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil revenues has had a profound impact on the formation of its foreign policies, especially in the economic, military, and diplomatic fields, enabling the country to gain greater influence in global equations. Finally, the research results show that energy is of increasing importance as an economic resource and that Saudi Arabia is using its geoeconomics to strengthen its political influence while facing serious challenges in the global arena. Therefore, the need for a balanced, sustainable, and diversified approach to the use of energy resources seems essential to maintain Saudi Arabia's position the international system. | ||
