| Abstract | ||
| Health is one of the fundamental pillars of a welfare society that is related to the quality of health and medical services in a safe environment. Safety leadership, as the main axis in creating a safer work environment, plays a vital role in the acceptance . The aim of the present study is to analyze the antecedents and consequences of employee safety leadership with an emphasis on understanding the experiences of experts in the field of occupational safety and health in order to clarify the various dimensions of this phenomenon from a practical and organizational perspective. The present study is applied in terms of method with a qualitative approach and content analysis. The research population included occupational safety and health experts in hospitals in Rasht city. Participants were selected purposefully and with at least 5 years of experience in the field of occupational safety and health and the implementation of safety measures. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 experts until theoretical saturation was reached. Based on the extracted themes, which included 32 basic themes that were divided into antecedents, dimensions, and consequences, safety leadership is formed as a central phenomenon resulting from the conditions of need for safety leadership and the necessary contexts. This phenomenon will have consequences such as quality, effectiveness and efficiency, and maintaining safety. Promoting a safety culture in organizations requires active participation and coordination of human resources in safety decision-making, forming safety committees with the presence of personnel, and utilizing safety promotion groups. | ||
