| In this paper, we propose a novel method to fit a fuzzy linear regression model with crisp inputs and intuitionistic fuzzy outputs, where the model parameters are considered as intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. To estimate the regression coefficients, a nonlinear programming model is formulated based on a new distance measure defined between intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. This nonlinear model is then transformed into a goal programming model by introducing appropriate deviation variables, and subsequently converted to a linear programming problem solvable efficiently by the simplex method. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, an applicative example related to property market pricing is presented. | ||
