| Randomized response (RR) techniques are widely used to obtain reliable information on sensitive characteristics while preserving respondent privacy. In this study, we propose an optimally allocated two-stage stratified randomized response model that improves estimation efficiency under stratified sampling. The main novelty of the proposed approach lies in integrating optimal allocation with a two-stage RR mechanism to minimize variance under given design constraints. The resulting estimator is shown to be unbiased and possesses a smaller variance than existing estimators under identifiable conditions. Theoretical comparisons establish its superiority over the models of Singh et al. (1995) and Singh and Tarray (2015). Numerical investigations further demonstrate substantial gains in percent relative efficiency across a range of design parameters. The proposed method provides a practical and efficient tool for surveys involving sensitive attributes, particularly in applications requiring both privacy protection and high statistical precision. | ||
