| Abstract | ||
| Background and Objective: The construction of accommodation centers in war zones faces numerous and complex obstacles. To identify these challenges, limited research has been conducted focusing on accommodation centers. The aim of this research is to identify the challenges of building war tourism accommodation centers with respect to the values of sacred defense. Methodology: This study is classified as applied research in terms of purpose and was conducted with a qualitative approach, exploratory nature, and content analysis strategy in terms of methodology. The participant population included 18 experts and individuals with experience in the field of war tourism, tourism managers, university professors, and Rahian Noor tour guides who were selected purposefully, and the data collection process continued until theoretical saturation was reached. Findings: The findings showed that the challenges of building war tourism accommodation centers can be explained in five main themes, including infrastructure challenges, political-security challenges, structural challenges, economic challenges, and educational challenges. Conclusion and Suggestions: The results of the study emphasize that the development of war tourism accommodations requires a multidimensional approach in which cultural and value considerations of the Sacred Defense are combined with managerial, infrastructural, and economic requirements. Innovation and Originality: By combining managerial, infrastructural, economic components, and the values of the Sacred Defense, this study presents a new framework that has not been comprehensively examined in the war tourism literature before. | ||
